Step 1: Hand-wash your aiRmasks
Fill up a plugged sink or a small basin with water. You’ll add about a measuring teaspoon of detergent to this. Place your aiRmasks in the soapy water and gently swirl them around with your hands for about two minutes.
Keep in mind that while handwashing aiRmasks, it’s important not to scrub, twist or bunch them. You could possibly damage the fabric and prematurely wear off the nanotech.
Step 2: Rinse and repeat
Fill a second bucket or sink with clean water, or drain the first container and refill it with fresh water. This should be the same temperature as the water you used to hand-wash the aiRmasks.
Dip aiRmasks in and out of this water until the soap has been rinsed away completely. You may need to repeat this a few times to make sure all of the detergent has been washed out of your aiRmasks.
Step 3: Prepare for drying aiRmasks by hand
Remove your aiRmasks from the basin or sink and gently squeeze the water out of the aiRmasks.
Make sure you’re not twisting or wringing the aiRmasks, as this can tear or damage the nanotech on the aiRmasks.
Step 4: Dry your aiRmasks
You can drape your aiRmasks over a drying rack. Please do not dry under direct sunlight as this would cause faster deterioration of the nanotech layer.
If you don’t have a drying rack, you can DIY one by hanging your aiRmasks over a shower curtain rod.
